These Alpheios User Terms of Service (the "User Terms") describe your rights and responsibilities when using Alpheios. By using Alpheios you are agreeing to the User Terms. Collectively we refer to all sites on the "alpheios.net" domain, including subdomains, and any applications, tools or services made available by Alpheios as "Alpheios."

No rights or benefits are conferred by these User Terms, and they may be updated at any time. If you do not agree to these User Terms, please do not use Alpheios. Alpheios collects user identifiers (as described below) from its users in order to provide certain features of our software.

You agree to comply with the User Terms and that the User Terms control your relationship with us. "We," "our" and "us" refers to the Alpheios Project, Ltd. "You" refers to anyone who makes use of our sites, tools or services whether directly or any other programmatic means.

As our business evolves, we may change these User Terms. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new User Terms on this page and updating the "effective date" at the top of this page. You can review the most current version of the User Terms at any time by visiting this page and by visiting the most current versions of the other pages that are referenced herein the Contract.

General Conditions

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED FOR HEREIN, ALPHEIOS AND ALL RELATED COMPONENTS AND INFORMATION ARE PROVIDED BY US ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, AND WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, TITLE, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

You must be 13 years or older to use Alpheios.

You agree not to use Alpheios for malicious, illegal, or abusive behavior. Such behavior will be determined at the sole discretion of the Alpheios board and result in account suspension or termination.

Further, you agree to obey all laws in your jurisdiction regarding copyrighted material. Alpheios assumes no responsibility for misuse of its services to distribute copyrighted materials and reserves the right to suspend access during any account review. In the case of disputed materials, Alpheios will follow US copyright laws unless otherwise noted.

You may operate multiple accounts on Alpheios.

Anonymous accounts are not permitted.

You may either create an account using an email address or password, or you can choose to use one of the available Social Identity providers.

Alpheios uses the OAuth2 prototcol to interoperate with Identity Providers for login.

Email is not shared publicly or otherwise redistributed to external parties.

User data is not shared publicly or otherwise redistributed to external parties.

Alpheios does use a cookie for session management upon login and some information may be stored in the browser's local storage cache.

Special considerations for users under the age of 18

Please use Alpheios in consultation with a parent, guardian, instructor, or teacher.

What you do in Alpheios will be saved.

Alpheios will not send information about you to anyone else.
